Well of course they do, they want to advertise their products effectively like any company would. Big booze companies in Thailand have gone as far as to produce soft beverages like water and soda so they can get their branding on big bill boards and other marketing mediums. This is a loophole in the law that they are currently using to keep their brand in the mind of consumers. I found some examples and put them below.
The law currently states "Under Section 32, alcoholic beverages may not be advertised in a manner that directly or indirectly claims benefits or promotes its consumption, and may not show the product or its packaging." This checks out with the above examples but they've been clever because at a glance they look like booze adverts to me... Only upon closer inspection can you see they are actually advertising their soda / mineral water.
I wonder, if the law is amended, will this cause them to stop manufacturing certain soft beverages since they are no longer required for marketing purposes or will they continue because the infrastructure and means of production are already in place?
